The crowd cheered her on, as she twirled about on the
brightly lit stage in her colorful garments. She was
fueled by them, by the excitement, the music, and
her feet just couldn't stop. She knew this was what
she wanted, the freedom to entertain and feel the
vigor of the people as they looked on. As she performed
her final move, the crowd erupted, and even the goats
  in the distance were bleating.

"Bravo, maginifico!" The lyrical voice of a Muse said
as he stepped on stage and gave the performer a
clap on the back before leading her off stage. The wind
was knocked out of the young girl, as she tried to catch
her breath, but the sparkle in her eyes remained.

The day came and went, and brought forth a fresh morning.
The young girl, known to her friends as 'Sing-Song' for
her lyrical way of talking, had wanted to be a Muse
since she first heard of them. The very thrill of making
others happy, cheering her on as she danced or sang up on
stage, basking in the limelight.. that's all she
  could ever dream of!
As soon as she was able, she moved out to the golden,
opportunistic land of Buya, and constantly spent
her days by the abandoned stage. Sing-Song heard of
the Muse auditions, and was determined to prove
herself to become a Muse. Her path was straightforward,
and she would not look back.

After the following night of her performance, the
Muse who showed her offstage took her under his
guiding wing. Sing-Song was more than thrilled, and
studied night and day, engrossing herself into
Musedom. When the day finally came to be tested,
in Buyan's small theatre, she nailed every question
they could throw at her. Before she knew it, she
was up in the treehouse, surrounded by the most
  wonderful people.

However, the most peculiar thing happened to Sing-Song
a few days after her Musification. At first it couldn't
be explained, it was an occasional burst of song
here, or a random tap-tap of feet there. She would
dream of goats and stardrops, and after a while,
her sing-song voice became all about singing, she
  failed to speak normally.

o/` 'What's happening to me?' o/` She thought, yet even
her thoughts consisted of musical notes.
The other Muses thought it quite funny, but did not
think too much into it or say anything to help.
Sing-Song was wondering if she was sick, or coming
down with something unusual. Whenever she'd ask about
it, a Muse would simply smile or laugh, or tell her not
  to worry.
Singing was only the beginning, though, soon her
walk had a pep in its step, until it consisted of
skipping and frolicking everywhere she went!
She was certain something was coming over her,
and yet no Muse looked at her differently.

The Maestra entered the treehouse, the first time
Sing-Song had ever seen her. As she looked in the
Maestra's direction, the elderess took note of
Sing-Song's sadness and, having overheard her trouble
around the treehouse, she ambled over.

"What's wrong, Sing-Song?" The Maestra said, though
her small little rhyme made her giggle a bit.

"I can't help but siiiiing o/`," the young girl
  lyricized, shaking her head.

"And let me guess," the Maestra said, smiling
comfortingly. "You can't help but dance too, right?"

Sing-Song looked up, wide-eyed and nodding, wondering
how the Maestra knew about this.

"Oh Sing-Song, you have nothing to worry about! That
sort of thing happens to everyone. For once you are a
  Muse, you're always a Muse!"
